We speak with Ben Cole, (Cinematographer and A Band of Brothers Mentor).
Ben Cole is an award-winning cinematographer and filmmaker. He has worked on some of our most beloved British programmes such as Doc Martin, and social impact documentaries such as One Giant Leap and A Band of Brothers. His mission as a filmmaker is to bring awareness to the powerful transformations being experienced by young ex-offenders through documenting the stories of the young men he mentors as A Band of Brothers community elder. In this episode, we explore the nature of his work, the thinking behind the community efforts to support vulnerable young men and how he is helping to make the world a better place 'one man at a time'. Ben answers questions on the following topics.
1. What is your most favourite term when it comes to realising your truth?
2.How did you discover band of brothers and why was it important to you?
3.What made you realise you had a talent for helping people?
4.Where was the emphasis when working with groups of men to set their lives straight?
5. How did work begin to show up once you realised you were in this new situation of being a meaningful communicator?
6. What can you tell our listeners about how to live more resiliently (addressed to young men)
